31st Annual First Night Buffalo - Jumping into the new year with confidence! Over 500 families participated in a night full of fun and entertainment during the 31st Annual First Night Buffalo celebration. Project Play WNY hosted a free play event and Jump 4 Confidence was there to provided jump rope activities that promoted confidence and self-esteem.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz joined Executive Director of the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women (“ECCSW”) Karen King President of Confident Girl Mentoring Tiffany Lewis, CEO of the Girl Scouts of WNY Alison Wilcox, Board Chair of the YWCA of WNY Maureen Hammett, Board Chair of the WNY Women’s Foundation Cindy Odom, Anna Geronimo, Secretary of the WNY Coalition of Labor Union Women.and members of the Women’s Action Coalition today for an International Women's Day event.
"It is because of the legacy of so many women we are able to stand together and pickup where they left off; to provide access to opportunities and resources for a better quality of life for our youth", stated Lewis.

With the partnership of HOPE Buffalo and the continuous work of CGMP, Inc, there has been a 106% increase in youth who can now make informed decisions regarding sexual health and reducing the risk of teen pregnancy.
