Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz joined Executive Director of the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women (“ECCSW”) Karen King President of Confident Girl Mentoring Tiffany Lewis, CEO of the Girl Scouts of WNY Alison Wilcox, Board Chair of the YWCA of WNY Maureen Hammett, Board Chair of the WNY Women’s Foundation Cindy Odom, Anna Geronimo, Secretary of the WNY Coalition of Labor Union Women.and members of the Women’s Action Coalition today for an International Women's Day event.
"It is because of the legacy of so many women we are able to stand together and pickup where they left off; to provide access to opportunities and resources for a better quality of life for our youth", stated Lewis.

8/7/18- CEO, Tiffany Lewis sit down with Josh Bazan of WKBW-Channel 7 - Community groups join forces to combat the issue of teen pregnancy. With the partnership of HOPE Buffalo and the continuous work of CGMP, Inc, there has been a 106% increase in youth who can now make informed decisions regarding sexual health and reducing the risk of teen pregnancy.

CGMP, Inc, Erie County Commission on the Status of Women, and HOPE Buffalo join together for an open discussion on Healthy Relationships with guest speaker: Dr. Christopher St. Vil
On Thursday, March 22nd, Confident Girl Mentoring Program, Inc. was an award receipent of HOPE Buffalo's Innovative Mini Grant. The grant was awarded to Youth Serving Agencies/Groups and Faith Based Organizations in the City of Buffalo to promote adolescent health and wellness in their nine selected zip code areas (14201, 14204, 14206, 14207, 14208, 14209, 14211, 14213 & 14215).
Each of the organizations will receive $1,000.00 each. Awardees funded scope of work include a wide range of topics to address the social determinants of health and health equity/disparities in our community (i.e.,Youth Mentoring, Restorative Justice, Promoting Self Efficacy, Youth Social Media/PSA Communication Strategy, Foster Care/Family Bonding, Life Skills, Workforce Development, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Linkage and Referral to health services, including working with LBGTQ youth and more.
